The night before Sunday, I took some kamias branches from our tree pot in the backyard as my sister thought it would be a good idea to use it for Palm Sunday.

I took two to achieve a symmetrical look, flipped upside down to see which one looks better until it deemed to just hold it as shown diagonally ready to be blessed by the holy water.

Sunday came, I woke up earlier than my usual time. Found out the leaves have curled. I decided not to bring, not to cut again as I already did last night. Learned my lesson to wake up at 7 and make the Palm on the day itself.

I attached the kamias branches together by tying jute strings on the handle, the middle and near the top. I swayed it a bit, it is not as upright as a woven bamboo leaf but achieved what a palm leaf looks like. It was humbling to make our own Palm at home.
